About Amanda Taylor, MSN, PMHNP-BC

My goal is to support you as you heal, grow, and move forward.

I’m a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) and proud Army veteran based in Colorado. With over six years of experience in psychiatric nursing, I’ve had the opportunity to work across a range of settings, from inpatient and outpatient care to emergency psychiatry and community mental health. These experiences have shaped the way I practice today: grounded, practical, and deeply committed to meeting people where they are.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Martin’s University in Washington and completed my Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Missouri. I have a strong background working with veterans and their families and continue to be passionate about serving those who’ve served.

My approach to care is holistic and collaborative. I believe in combining evidence-based treatments with genuine curiosity and compassion. I take time to understand your full story, including your personal history, lifestyle, relationships, and goals. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions, I work with you to create a plan that feels right for your life.

I care deeply about making mental health care accessible and supportive. Whether I'm working with individuals, families, or entire communities, my focus is on empowering people with the tools, information, and support they need to feel better and stay well.

Outside of work, you’ll find me on the hiking trails, reading a good book, or spending time with my family. I feel most at home in nature and believe in the power of simple, grounding routines to support mental wellness.

Reaching out is strength, not weakness.

Asking for help doesn’t mean anthing’s wrong with you - it means you’re human. Life gets heavy sometimes, and it’s okay to need support sorting through it all. Whether you're dealing with stress, past experiences, or just feeling off, you don’t have to navigate it on your own. You deserve care that makes you feel understood, not judged, and I’m here to offer just that. Taking this step is a sign of strength, and it’s one that can lead to real healing and growth.

How I work:

At the core of my approach is the belief that healing begins with feeling heard, respected, and truly supported without judgment.

I approach treatment with the understanding that your mental health is shaped by your life experiences, environment, and the many roles you carry. In our work together, you can expect a supportive, down-to-earth space where we’ll look at what’s going on now and what might be fueling it beneath the surface. I take a practical, whole-person approach - blending evidence-based care with real conversations - to help you find strategies that actually work for your life. Together, we’ll focus on building balance, resilience, and a greater sense of control so you can move forward feeling stronger and more grounded in yourself.
